Kings Cup - Drinking Game Rules & How to Play
The classic card game where each card has a rule - draw and drink!
Equipment Needed
- Deck of cards
- Large cup
- Drinks
Setup
Place a large cup (the King's Cup) in the center of the table. Spread a deck of cards face-down in a circle around the cup.
How to Play Kings Cup
- Each card has a specific rule:
- Ace (Waterfall): Everyone drinks. The person who drew can stop when they want, then the next person can stop, and so on around the circle.
- 2 (You): Point at someone - they drink.
- 3 (Me): You drink.
- 4 (Floor): Last person to touch the floor drinks.
- 5 (Guys): All guys drink.
- 6 (Chicks): All girls drink.
- 7 (Heaven): Last person to point up drinks.
- 8 (Mate): Pick a drinking buddy - when you drink, they drink.
- 9 (Rhyme): Say a word, go around the circle rhyming. First to fail drinks.
- 10 (Categories): Name a category, go around naming items. First to fail drinks.
- Jack (Make a Rule): Create a rule everyone must follow.
- Queen (Question Master): You're the Question Master until someone else draws a Queen.
- King (Pour): Pour some of your drink into the King's Cup. Fourth King drinks it all.
Tips & Strategies
Keep track of rules! The Question Master and rule maker rules stack, so things can get complicated. Pace yourself.
Variations
Some variations include: California Kings (different rules), Sociables (all drink), or adding custom house rules.
