Thumper is a drinking game in the No Equipment category for 5-15 players that takes about 15-30 min with a medium difficulty level.
Hand signal passing game
Equipment Needed
Setup
Everyone sits in a circle with their drink in front of them. One player volunteers to be the leader and chooses a unique hand signal (like a peace sign or a finger wave) to represent themselves. Each other player must also pick a unique hand signal, and the group goes around the circle so everyone can see and memorize each person's chosen gesture. The leader starts the game by clapping twice to establish rhythm, and everyone joins in with the same double clap pattern.

Tips & Strategies
Stick to simple, memorable hand signals like a thumbs-up or jazz hands, overly complicated gestures are harder to execute under pressure. Watch the rhythm closely; if you clap off-beat, it could cost you a drink. Pay close attention to the person whose turn it is before yours so you're ready to react quickly when they call your signal. If you're the leader, keep the tempo steady but challenging to catch people off guard.
Variations
Silent Thumper: Instead of making the hand motions on your turn, just mime a clap and gesture silently. This makes it harder to track whose turn it is.. Reverse Thumper: The leader starts the game as usual, but each time a mistake is made, the direction of play reverses.. Double Trouble: Each player chooses two hand signals instead of one. Either signal can be called on your turn, but you have to keep track of both throughout the game.
