Print or purchase two identical blank Sudoku grids and generate full puzzles of equal difficulty (use a Sudoku app or online generator if needed). Ensure each player has a pen or pencil and keep a stack of drinks nearby for penalties. Sit across from each other or side by side to avoid peeking at each other's solution.
If you're not confident in your Sudoku skills, start with easier puzzles to avoid constant penalties. Double-check every number before you write it down, as a mistake equals drinks and losing time. Watch your opponent's pace; if they're blazing through, pick up the speed to keep up or bank on their mistakes. Practice spotting number patterns beforehand since stumbling on key gaps can cost you the game.
Timed Takeover: Set a timer for each turn, and players can only fill in numbers while the timer runs. If the timer buzzes mid-write, the player drinks.. Penalty Power-Ups: Instead of drinking for mistakes, players can choose to pass penalties to their opponent, forcing them to drink twice as much or skip a turn.. Sudoku Sabotage: Each player can 'swap' one incorrect number into their opponent's puzzle at any time, forcing them to drink while fixing the sabotage.
