Stack coins or drink
Equipment Needed
Setup
Sit across from your opponent at a flat, stable surface, like a coffee table or countertop. Place a pile of coins (at least 20) within easy reach of both players. Keep your drinks nearby, as you'll need them when the stack inevitably falls.
How to Play Coin Stack
- Take turns stacking coins
- Add one coin per turn
- Knock stack = drink that many
- Successful stack continues
- First to cause fall drinks
- Best of 5
- Steady hands win
- Pressure increases
Tips & Strategies
Choose coins of similar size and weight. Quarters are a solid choice for stability, but mixing sizes adds more challenge. When it's your turn, place the coin using only one hand,no steadying with the other. Watch for a slight wobble in the stack after each placement, as it can help you predict when it's going to collapse. Try using the edges of your fingertips rather than your palm for more precision.
Variations
Blind Stack: Players must close their eyes while placing their coin, relying only on touch to find the stack.. Time Crunch: Each player has only five seconds to place their coin once their turn starts, adding urgency and pressure.. Double Trouble: Players add two coins per turn instead of one, making the stack less stable and the stakes higher.
