Guess the code or drink
Place the Mastermind decoding board between the two players, ensuring the code-making shield is securely in position to hide the secret code. The code-maker selects a four-peg sequence of colors (or numbers if you're using a variant set), placing them behind the shield. The code-breaker sits opposite, equipped with pegs for guesses and the small black and white feedback pegs. Keep your drinks within easy reach, as they'll come into play frequently.
If you're the code-maker, use patterns that aren't overly obvious, like alternating colors, to avoid easy guesses. As the code-breaker, analyze the feedback pegs carefully; a black peg means a correct peg and position, while white means correct color but wrong spot,don't mix them up! Establish a maximum time limit per guess to keep the game moving and the drinks flowing. Remember, assigning drinks when the code is cracked is your chance to make strategic alliances or playful enemies!
Double Trouble: The code-maker sets two secret codes at once, and the code-breaker must solve both simultaneously. Incorrect guesses for either result in drinks.. Reverse Mastermind: The code-breaker creates a secret code in their mind, and the code-maker has to guess it. The roles flip, but the penalty rules stay the same.. Sudden Death Mode: Each incorrect guess doubles the number of penalty drinks required, putting heavy pressure on precision guessing.
