Beer Pong - Drinking Game Rules & How to Play
Beer Pong is a drinking game in the Beer Games category for 2-4 players that takes about 15-30 min with a medium difficulty level.
The classic - throw balls into cups and make your opponents drink
Equipment Needed
- 10-20 Solo cups
- Ping pong balls
- Beer
- Table
Setup
Set up 6-10 cups in a triangle formation on each end of a table. Fill cups with beer (typically 1/3 full). Have water cups ready for rinsing balls.
How to Play Beer Pong
- Two teams of 1-2 players stand at opposite ends.
- Each team takes turns throwing 2 ping pong balls at the opposing cups.
- If a ball lands in a cup, the opposing team drinks it and removes the cup.
- Bounce shots count as 2 cups but can be swatted away.
- If both players make it, balls come back for a re-rack.
- Teams get 2 re-racks per game (rearrange remaining cups).
- First team to eliminate all cups wins!
- Losing team drinks remaining cups.
Tips & Strategies
Aim for the back cups first. Keep a consistent throwing motion. Stay hydrated!
Variations
Island (call a single cup), Celebrity Shot (non-player shoots), Heating Up/On Fire (make 2-3 in a row for bonus throws).
