Battleship with drink hits
Equipment Needed
Setup
Grab a standard Battleship game board and set it up as usual, with each player arranging their fleet of ships on their hidden grid. Make sure both players have their drinks within reach and decide in advance how many sips or gulps will correspond to a 'hit' and a 'miss'. No peeking at your opponent's board, and maybe keep the drinks far enough away to avoid spillage when the game gets intense.

Tips & Strategies
To up your accuracy, focus on targeting areas where larger ships like the Battleship or Carrier might logically fit. If you score a hit, strategically assign drinks to throw your opponent off their game, maybe give them more drinks if you hit their Carrier to psych them out. Conversely, if you miss, take a moment to sip and reassess your targeting strategy. Keep track of your hits and misses on the pegboard; alcohol may impair your memory after a few rounds.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What happens if I sink my opponent's ship?
- When you sink one of your opponent's ships, you get to assign a number of drinks equal to the number of spaces that ship occupied. For example, sinking a Destroyer means you assign two drinks.
- Do I drink if I hit my own ship?
- Yes, if you accidentally call a coordinate where you've placed your own ship, you drink the penalty for hitting yourself. It's a good way to keep players honest about their shots.
- What is the penalty for losing the game?
- The loser of the game has to finish their drink or take a pre-determined final penalty, like two shots or chugging a beer, as agreed upon before starting.
- Can I change the drink penalties mid-game?
- Yes, you can adjust the drink penalties as needed, but both players must agree to the change. For example, you might decide halfway through that sinking the Carrier results in the loser taking two shots instead of assigning drinks.
